More Sustainable Surfactants for Home & Personal Cleaning Products

Surfactants are at the center of our efforts to drive the sustainable transformation of our raw materials. It’s a key ingredient for detergents and shampoos as well as provides dirt and grease-removing power. However, many surfactants today are fossil-based, which is not renewable, or derived from natural inputs whose sourcing has secondary, negative impacts. We are calling on creative minds in the market to help us find new, sustainable ingredients that are based on natural raw materials that optimize environmental, economic and social impacts. Prize pool
By participating in this challenge, you have the chance to win attractive prize money. The winners of each challenge will receive EUR 3,000.

In the final event, one final team from the entire Innovate2030 SDG13 Program will be honored with the Social Media prize of EUR 1,000.

Impulse paper
In order to give the developed solutions, the greatest possible appreciation and attention, all solutions of the final teams will be published in a joint paper of all initiators.
Exclusive events
If you are selected as one of the three final teams from the qualification phase, you will have exclusive access to our ekipa Innovation Bootcamp and Final Event. In these, you will not only pitch your solution to a jury formed by representatives of the respective sectors, but you also receive coaching sessions, listen to interesting keynote speakers and have the opportunity to network with representatives from businesses as well as other innovators.
Collaboration opportunities
There are further cooperation opportunities with Henkel after the challenge is completed. Henkel intends to provide promising teams with the opportunity to further develop their solutions. During the elaboration phase, the challenge finalists will work together with Henkel on their approaches and discuss their interests in possible further steps after the program on an individual basis. Further collaboration and support may result and will be discussed at the end of the program.
