Qualification phase: April 26 - June 16, 2024
With the start of the challenge, you'll have time to work on your idea, concept, or sketches. The deadline for the submission is June 16, 2024 - 11.59 pm CEST. You can submit your approaches via this platform.
During the qualification phase we invite you to take part in the social media challenge. Simply post about your ideation journey, gather first feedback on your idea or conduct market research via social media channels. The winner of the social media challenge will receive a wild card to the idea camp. To take part all you need to do is tag your postings with the following hashtags: #aiforsociety #yourteamname
After the deadline the submitted ideas will be handed over to Samsung, where 9 half finalists will be chosen.
The announcements of the 10 half finalists (9 half finalists chosen by Samsung & 1 half finalist with the wildcard from the social media challenge), which will move onto the next round of the challenge, and who'll participate in the Idea camp will take place until June 26th 2024.
Idea camp: July 15 - July 16, 2024
The qualified finalists will be invited by Samsung for a Idea camp. The costs for travel and accommodation will be covered. If you submit your idea, please make sure to block July 15 & 16 in case you are chosen as a half-finalist in the challenge. In preparation for the idea camp we will host a digital workshop on July 3 starting at 3:00pm CEST. Please make sure to mark this date in your calendars as well.
At the event, you will attend various courses and workshops on the topics of AI, Entrepreneurship, and Social Impact and meet exciting experts and thought leaders to lay the foundations for the further course of the elaboration phase.
To conclude you will present your approach to Samsung and a jury. Afterward, the best five teams will be selected as finalists and advance to the elaboration phase.
Elaboration phase: July 17 - September 03, 2024
Following the idea camp, you will, based on concrete feedback and mission, develop your idea and business case to a more detailed solution and a great pitch that will be held at the final event.
The concrete deadline for submitting your documents will be published during the qualification phase.

To conclude the Challenge, you will present your final solution in front of Samsung and a jury to define the three winners of our Solve for Tomorrow - AI for Society
The winners of the Challenge will be given the opportunity to further develop their business case in the following Solve for Tomorrow - IMPACT-phase @ Samsung.
In addition, a total of € 22,500 in prize money is shared among the best three teams if they enter the IMPACT-phase.
IMPACT-Phase
The three winning teams will move onto the IMPACT-Phase where they will work together with Samsung, and a technical partner to develop a Prototype, build a business plan and start the process of founding.
