Is there any criteria on who can participate?
There are no degree requirements. This challenge is open for every ambitious mind determined to make an impact with an innovative approach to the topic, no matter if you are a student, researcher or young startup.
This Innovation Challenge will be conducted in English.

If you want to talk to someone from our team about your approaches, you need more information or if questions arise, just join one of our Q&A calls every Tuesday from 11:00am-11:30am and Thursday from 4:00pm-4:30pm. It is a group call and you also get the chance to meet other innovators!

Is my participation binding?
Your participation is not binding until you submit the Submission Template, and the submission phase ends. You can always withdraw your submission before the deadline. Once you have uploaded your submission and you want to take part, please consider the timeline and be aware that you should be able to participate in every further step.
Are you looking for team members?
If you are looking for a team, make sure to register on our platform to join an existing team. Here you can find all the teams for every ongoing project. Or simply click on the link "Looking for team members?" in the info box on top in order to access our Slack Team Matching channel.
What happens after the first deadline?
After the end of the deadline (June 16, 2024), the submissions will be reviewed by Samsung. Simultaneously, the social media challenge ends. The team with the most likes on their social posts will receive a wild card for the Idea Camp. The other 9 semi-final teams will be selected by Samsung and invited to participate in the Idea Camp of the Program. We will inform you via mail. Check the 'timeline' to find out more.
What happens with the IP of my solution?
By submitting an idea or solution for the Solve for Tomorrow program, no rights are transferred or granted to Samsung nor ekipa.
However, ekipa, Samsung and its affiliated companies are entitled to report on the challenge, including the participants and their ideas or solutions, within a reasonable scope, for marketing purposes and the included public voting.
If a participant wins the challenge, the client has the right to negotiate with them regarding the acquisition of intellectual property after the challenge is completed.
