Participating in the RWE Challenge is your opportunity to develop and showcase innovative ideas in the renewable energy sector. Here’s what you need to do:

Format

  • You can participate alone or as a team of up to 4 people.
  • Use the provided submission template [Link to Template Download] to present your idea and introduce yourself and, if applicable, your team.
  • Enhance your submission with additional materials such as video presentations, pitch decks, or visuals – be creative! 

Solution Criteria

Make sure your solution adheres to the following criteria:

  • Environmental Management & Business Case: Your approach should effectively convert environmental management efforts into biodiversity credits, with a clear business case that generates revenue while promoting environmental protection.
  • Biodiversity Credits: Focus on the innovative potential of biodiversity credits. How can your solution leverage these emerging opportunities?
  • Comprehensive Approach: Ideally, your solution should address all relevant opportunity areas—financial (credit creation), market positioning & trading, and social (community engagement)—ensuring a well-rounded strategy that maximizes environmental, societal, and economic impact.
  • Market Positioning & Trading: Develop strategies for how biodiversity credits can be valued and effectively traded in the market. Explore existing standards and how RWE can best position itself within the biodiversity credits market while influencing the standardization of credits.
  • Community Integration: Consider how your solution can build community projects or provide additional social benefits, enhancing the overall impact of biodiversity credits.
