Designing Enterprise Software in a Bot-First Banking Environment

NORD/LB is exploring how internal & digital enterprise interaction should evolve as chat-based interfaces and AI assistants become a primary entry point to work. NORD/LB invites selected partners to contribute strategic frameworks, interaction models, or platform and technology-layer approaches to shape the future interplay of chat, bots and classical enterprise software in a regulated banking environment.

Who can participate?

This project is open to partners who work on enterprise interaction, experience, architecture or AI-driven systems. Different organisational sizes and maturity levels are explicitly welcome. A fully developed product is not required.

Application Phase

Application Deadline: 17 February 2026 at 23:59 (CET/CEST).

After the deadline, NORD/LB will review all submissions and select the favorite teams for the shortlist. These teams will have the opportunity to get to know NORD/LB in a virtual Get-to-Know Session.

During this phase, our team is available every week to support you. Join our live Q&A sessions:

  • Tuesdays from 11:00–11:30 (CET/CEST)
  • Wednesdays from 15:00–15:30 (CET/CEST)
  • Thursdays from 17:00–17:30 (CET/CEST)

PoC Phase

Together with NORD/LB, shortlisted teams will work on designing and implementing a Proof of Concept (PoC) to demonstrate the potential impact of their solution. By the end of the phase, teams are expected to submit a validated proposal for potential next steps.

Demo Day (1 day, date tbd)

During the Demo Day, teams will present the outcomes of the PoC phase as well as their proposal for a concrete follow-up collaboration model. The Demo Day brings together key decision-makers and management representatives from NORD/LB to discuss the results and evaluate continuation options.

Decision Phase

Following the Demo Day, a decision period of approximately two weeks begins. NORD/LB will assess the submitted collaboration proposals and make a final decision regarding a potential partnership.

What are the options after a successful participation?

  • Validation phase with expert input from NORD/LB to refine the approach
  • Further conceptual development or refinement together with NORD/LB stakeholders
  • Paid PoC, pilot or targeted validation projects (scope- and budget-dependent)
  • Contractual arrangements for longer-term collaboration (e.g. strategic partnership, licensing, co-development)
  • Integration or scaling of the approach within NORD/LB’s enterprise landscape
