What is our vision for the digital and innovative healthcare industry of tomorrow and what potentials and skills can we bring to the table in order to shape the healthcare future together with the Digital Generation?
The landscape in health care is changing and tomorrow’s health care system is digital and all about integrated care. For most health problems this means that the patient journey of the future will include a variety of healthcare providers. A diabetic person might be seeing his family physician, a diabetologist and get his medications from a certain pharmacy. Additionally, there might be a nutritionist, a physiotherapist or a home care service involved. Seeing a variety of highly specialized health care professionals will hopefully lead to an improved standard of care and a longer and better life.
More and more patients take matter into their own hands and measure and record an increasing amount of health markers through wearables and connected devices.
One of the biggest challenges will be to integrate and move health related data in a sensible and secure fashion. The right people have access to the right information, so data can be used it in a way that helps health care providers and therefore the patient.
Another challenge, maybe just as big, is to navigate the brave new world of integrated care.
An increased variety of health care providers and services makes the right choice of suitable and effective care a lot harder. It is hard not to lose the overview, for patients and health care providers likewise.
This is where the Generali Health Solutions comes into play. We serve as an aggregator of health services and bridge gaps in the health care system by providing the right service to the right customer at the right time.
Our goal is to identify unmet needs, help the customer understand the causes and implications of their health-related problems and guide them to the best possible solution. To achieve this, our health experts are constantly evaluating ideas, services and products in the market based on scientific evidence, compliance and user experience. We then partner up with new startups, SMEs or established players in the market to integrate or create the best possible solution for a specific health problem.
