Goal
Ideally, the outcome at the end of the challenge is a prototype that can be presented to clients and addresses Knauf´s aesthetic and functional requirements.
But always keep in mind that the challenge is divided into two phases. It is not necessary, to build a fully developed, functional prototype in the first phase. We welcome all submissions, even at the idea/concept stage.
Solution Maturity
Focus of Phase 1: Material & Concept
In this phase, participants are required to focus on developing the material and conceptual aspects of their solution. They are encouraged to submit ideas and concepts. It is not mandatory to have a fully developed, functional prototype at this stage.
Focus of Phase 2: Prototype & Scaling
During this phase, the emphasis shifts to building a functional prototype that addresses Knauf´s aesthetic and functional requirements. Participants will receive support from Knauf to refinde and improve their prototypes step-by-step.
Collaboration
To build a functional solution step-by-step, the teams will benefit from the support by Knauf during the challenge to jointly refine and improve.
If your solution meets a high level of quality, Knauf is open for follow-up partnerships like cooperation opportunities or distribution partnerships after the Challenge.
This presents a unique opportunity for students, researchers, young professionals and also startups/companies to showcase their innovative solutions and shape the architectural & interior design sector.
