Sparkasse Bremen is committed to provide their customers with the best possible experience, service and offers – which is why they are always looking for new ways to leverage AI in the interest of their customers.
Right now, they are especially turning to new opportunities through Generative-AI that could be utilized along the customer lifecycle – to make financial services faster, more efficient, and customer-friendly.
Challenge and Key-Question
Sparkasse Bremen is specifically interested in exploring the potential of GPT-4 and similar technologies, that bring the potential to build new prototypes and solutions in high speed.
Therefore, the key question of the open innovation challenge is:
- How can solutions around GPT-4 or similar technologies create added value for customers along their journey in financial services?
Important: the solutions and use cases have to be targeted to either Smavesto - a leading roboadvisor service or Flexi – an innovative service for financing real estate. All information can be found via their respective websites.
To guide your efforts, we are asking you to explore the opportunity areas of "customer service" and "marketing and content," which we believe have the greatest potential for improving the customer journey.

Goal and potential partnership after the Challenge
The clear goal is to have developed a joint MVP for an identified use case at the end of the project. For the first deadline, however, the combination of an innovative and profound concept + the skills in the team to successfully implement a prototype in the following collaboration phase is sufficient.
Generally, Sparkasse Bremen and its affiliates Smarvesto and Flexi are open to different forms of cooperation and partnerships depending on the team and the solution. A cooperation that goes beyond the Challenge, especially in the area of technical and possibly also conceptual (further) development and implementation would be the optimal outcome.
The desired goal is to jointly design a solution that can be launched as an actual offering.
