Accelerating Cyber Intelligence

Cyberattacks are an extremely serious problem for safety-relevant sectors like airport operators. Like most companies, also Fraport AG, one of the leading players in the global airport business, notices a growing number of cyberattacks, resulting from security breaches. But how to handle this everyday challenge? There is a great need for innovative solutions to improve the automation of the collection as well as evaluation of relevant data from a wide range of sources on the potential vulnerabilities to revolutionize existing security systems.

Submission Template

For the participation within the AI Innovation program, a common submission template is available. This template will help you to structure your ideas and approaches and to find answers to all relevant questions. The submission template is mandatory to submit.

In addition to this submission template, you will find specific requirements and guiding questions for this use case in the "Guiding Questions" section down below. Please consider also the tab "Important Details" where you can find a detailed description of the desired outcome as well as a list of further, supporting articles.

You can also complement your submission with prototypes, pitch decks, image and video materials, higher-level concepts, or specific use case-related instruments – simply submit these documents along with the submission template via our platform.

Fraport highly encourages participants to include a business model canvas as part of their applications as well as describe, when relevant, the areas of expertise and complementarities of their team members. Furthermore, a describing video or presentation of the solution should be added to a system architecture drawing as well. In the end an MVP should be implemented within Fraport’s infrastructure.

In addition to the Terms & Conditions applied by ekipa, Fraport would like to make further arrangements with the finalist teams. These are noted in this purchase leaflet. All teams entering the Elaboration Phase must agree to this fact sheet. The consent will be requested by mail.

Guiding Questions

The following guiding questions are for your inspiration.

  • How can information about security vulnerabilities from various sources (e. g. CSAF and CVE data base) be gathered and processed automatically into the solution’s tool?
  • How can information about known IoC from various sources (MISP) be gathered and processed automatically into the solution’s tool?
  • How can the already deployed scanner (vulnerabilities and APT) be automatically triggered to run the necessary scans?
  • In which all-in-one tool can these processes be integrated with results being visualized?
  • How can Fraport's various data sources, applications, and resources be integrated into this tool?
  • What other possibilities and functions result from this solution?
