Qualification-phase: April 22nd - June 29th 2022
With the start of the challenge, you'll have time to work on your idea, concept or sketches. The deadline for the submission is on the 29th of June 2022 - 11.59pm CEST. You can submit your approaches via this platform.
During the qualification phase you can either work on an idea alone, with your friends/fellow students/colleagues or look for potential team mates via our team matching channel or our platform. Find more information on this in the How-to-tab.
The announcements of the 10 half finalists, which will move onto the next round of the challenge, and who'll participate in the Bootcamp will take place on the 1st of July 2022.
Bootcamp and interim presentation: July 7th - July 8th 2022
The qualified finalists will be invited by Samsung for a (digital) bootcamp. If it is possible to conduct an event onsite, the costs for travel and accommodation will be covered. If you submit your idea, please make sure to block the 7th & 8th of July in case you are chosen as a half finalist in the challenge.
At the event, you will attend various courses and workshops on the topic of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Social Impact and meet exciting experts and thought leaders to lay the foundations for the further course of the elaboration phase.
To conclude you will present your approach to Samsung and a jury. Afterwards, the best five teams will be selected as finalists and advance to the elaboration phase.
Elaboration-phase: July 9th - September 2022(tbd)
Following the bootcamp, you will, based on concrete feedback and mission, develop your idea and business case to a more detailed solution and a great pitch that will be held at the final event.
The concrete deadline for submitting your documents will be published during the qualification phase.

To conclude the Challenge, you will present your final solution in front of Samsung and a jury to define the three winners of our Solve for Tomorrow: Urban Environmental
Protection Challenge.
The winners of the Challenge will be given the opportunity to further develop their business case in the following Solve for Tomorrow - IMPACT-phase @ Samsung.
In addition to a total of € 22,500 in prize money being shared among the best three teams if they enter the IMPACT-phase.
IMPACT-Phase
The three winning teams will move onto a six months IMPACT-Phase where they will work together with Samsung, ekipa and a technical partner to develop a Prototype, build a business plan and start the process of founding.
