Process
We follow a structured Venture Client process.
1. Application via Platform
Solution providers submit their application through the ekipa platform.
2. Get-to-Know Conversations
Short digital sessions (approx. 30 minutes) with selected providers to:
- clarify open questions about the solution
- discuss feasibility within the terminal layout and existing systems of Baden-Airpark
- align on a potential PoC direction
3. Kick-Off Workshop & Scoping
Shortlisted providers participate in a joint workshop to:
- define PoC objectives and success criteria
- align on sensor placement, data protection and data access to the boarding pass system
- agree on scope, responsibilities and timeline
The outcome is a jointly agreed PoC setup.
4. PoC Building / Pilot
The PoC is executed at one access point in the terminal, starting with one airline.
Baden-Airpark provides:
- access to the pilot area and terminal layout plans
- the cabin baggage rules of the relevant airline(s)
- access to boarding pass scan data in a privacy-compliant way
- staff for controlled test runs (incl. test boarding passes and test baggage) and for live validation
- internal IT and data protection support
The PoC focuses on:
- accuracy of baggage measurement in live passenger flow
- correct matching of baggage with boarding pass and fare
- usability of the staff indication at the central counter
- impact on passenger flow (no additional queues)
5. Rollout Evaluation & Next Steps
Based on PoC results, Baden-Airpark evaluates:
- continuation or adjustment of the solution
- rollout to all airlines and access points
- commercial model and scaling options
A successful PoC can directly lead to an extended partnership.
