If teams and participants do not belong to the finalists of this Challenge they remain all rights to their solutions.
By participating, the participants/ finalists agree that Voestalpine may, upon request, be granted exclusive rights to use the solutions, and that in this case the finalists will transfer all existing rights to Voestalpine. Voestalpine will pay financial compensation of up to EUR 20,000 to the respective finalists for this. The amount of financial compensation will consider whether and, if so, to what extent a company representative contributed to the creation of the solution in the sense of co-inventorship.
Voestalpine must inform the respective finalists in writing within three (3) months after the completion of the Challenge whether it will exercise this option. During this period, the final teams also agree not to enter into discussions with third parties regarding further use of the solutions and to keep all information regarding the solution confidential.
Both parties (the Challenge provider and the finalists) are also entitled to jointly agree on individual provisions deviating from confidentiality agreements or IP rights during the elaboration phase.
The prize money for the Challenge offered by the organizer is independent of this regulation or the transfer of rights.
