Company - Who are we?

The Business Unit Heat Berlin with the legal entity Vattenfall Wärme Berlin AG is part of the Vattenfall Group and functionally an independent business unit within the Business Area Heat.

The Heat business area offers efficient and sustainable district heating solutions in various European core markets, mainly in Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we offer our B2B and B2C customers customized decentralized energy solutions, if required in combination with other modules beyond the "classic" energy supply (e-mobility, PV, heat pumps, cooling, ...)

We see ourselves as a driver of the urban energy turnaround and pursue the goal of offering fossil-free energy within a generation and enabling our customers to enjoy "power climate smarter living".

The cities in which we are active are our key stakeholders. In Berlin, the vast majority of our clients are housing associations, the State of Berlin is our largest single client.
