Company - Who are we?

The Raiffeisen Waren-Zentrale Rhein-Main eG (RWZ) is the third largest main agricultural cooperative in Germany. As a leading regional agricultural trader, we trade in agricultural products (grain, oilseeds, potatoes), inputs for agriculture, viticulture and professional horticulture, agricultural technology, animal feed and wood. This is our core business. Moreover, we also operate car showrooms, DIY stores, garden centers, and fuel retailers for private customers, especially in rural areas.

Our business area covers large parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Thuringia and Saxony, the whole of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. We are also active in France and BeNeLux. With our approximately 2.600 employees at almost 150 locations, we are active in wholesale for our members as well as locally for many thousands of farmers, winegrowers, and horticulturists - and have been for about 130 years.

For our customers, we are a professional partner at eye level with high consulting competence. Our members that are active in agricultural trade appreciate our efficiency. In the industry we are respected and in demand as business partners. We are a strong traditional company in a region rich in prospects.

Wacker Neuson is still in the early stages of digitalization. A telematics solution that sends machine data to a cloud application is already in series production, so that our customers know what their machines are currently doing and where they are located

In the pre-development stage, solutions for manual remote control and fully autonomous control of the machines are being worked on. Here it has been shown that completely new interaction concepts and metaphors are necessary to position such solutions successfully in the market.

A very high level of customer demand is also expressed on a permanent basis for the present topic "digital user manual". There is immense potential here, as no company in the industry has yet come up with a viable solution on the market and thus a high demand meets a non-existent supply!
