A Farmer's Journey of Agriculture 4.0
#Agriculture4.0 #SmartFarming #PrecisionFarming
A broad digitization of agricultural enterprises and their value chains holds great potential for economic efficiency, environmental protection, and transparency. But what has prevented widespread implementation so far? Work together with the RWZ on the question: How can we help agricultural enterprises and make it possible for them to move into digital agriculture?
✅ Completed 🏁 Winner Congrats to Agracheck und SmartSoil!
🏆 Prize 15,000 € prize pool in the overall DE 4.0 project + invitation to the Federal Chancellery + promotion of further implementation + chance for further cooperation with RWZ
Criteria & Specifications
Desirable and undesirable approaches
Possible solutions could be:
- Concepts for a farmer to approach big mountain of "digitalization”
- Concepts for knowledge transfer and distribution of digital solutions
- Strategies that help the farmer to make decisions on the digital transformation of his farm
There are no approaches or directions that we want to exclude necessarily. As with many approaches to digitization, platform solutions often seem promising, but do not automatically lead to the desired results. In our opinion, there are already a wide variety of digital products and solutions, especially those that attempt to optimize individual steps in the agricultural value chain. The difficulty lies in selecting the most sensible building blocks from this pool at the right time and for the right budget for the individual farm. Promising solutions are often also those that solve problems or concerns of the farmer and are ideally also sustainable.
Criteria
The legal and regulatory aspects can essentially be narrowed down to the areas of data protection & security and the common European agricultural policy.
Efforts already pursued by RWZ
RWZ currently sells high-tech products for farmers, especially in the field of agricultural technology (main cooperation partner AGCO Group with the tractor brands Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra). We also offer similar special products for horticultural and viticultural businesses.
Through the partnership with FarmFacts, both a soil sampling service and various smart farming software are offered.
In the coming year, RWZ will also go online in the field of agri-commerce as the driving force behind Raiffeisen-Networld.
