Criteria & specifications
There are countless ideas of what would be theoretically possible, the focus should therefore be on concrete business model ideas and concretely answer the question of how to generate revenue streams with the idea!
The following lines of thought should be prioritized:
- Digital Services
Example: Customers use Netflix free of charge via W-Lan during the loading process and EnBW receives a commission from Netflix. - Physical Services
Example: Added value such as repairs, washing services or package deliveries could be integrated into the charging station - Cooperation Partner
Example: Couponing solutions could be used, for example, vouchers in the app for retail partners such as dm or Euronics. - Completely new approaches?
General note on the usecase:
- Locations: The focus of the loading locations is on long distances along freeways, main roads and other locations on e.g. travel routes and commuting routes. Lesser/not in focus are locations for private stores at e.g. retailers and department stores in city centres.
Approaches that have already been pursued or are being excluded
The current focus is on the further expansion of the charging infrastructure. However, value-added services will play an increasingly important role in the acceptance of electric mobility in the future. For this reason, EnBW wants to set the course right now and focus on good ideas on the topic of "value-added services around the charging station". You can give your ideas free rein and be creative and do not have to orientate yourself on existing initiatives.
