Submission Template

For the participation within the Innovate 2030 program, a common submission template is available. This template will help you to structure your ideas and approaches and to find answers to all relevant questions.

The Submission Template is mandatory to submit.

In addition to this submission template, you will find specific requirements and guiding questions for your use case in the "Guiding Questions" section down below.

You can also complement your submission with prototypes, pitch decks, image and video materials, higher-level concepts, or specific use case-related instruments – simply submit these documents along with the submission template via our platform.

Guiding Questions

This Challenge is calling for the most innovative digital solutions or use cases of existing digital solutions that enhance and foster sustainable and connected urban mobility around the globe.

Do not forget to adapt your solution to one of the BMZ partner countries.

The following guiding questions are for your inspiration, and it is not mandatory to answer all of them.

Mobility as a Service

  • How can we succeed in replacing private car ownership with attractive and individual mobility offers in the long term? How can such a system be designed flexibly enough to suit all customers?
  • What data would be particularly relevant for this analysis?
  • How can citizens be made aware of the need to help shape such a system and provide the relevant data?

Health and Security

  • What solutions can be developed to counteract the central air polluters in the urban mobility system?
  • Which aspects of urban mobility, including the driving and walking actors, still entail risks? What tangible solutions can be used to address these risks?
  • Which technology, that connects various players in traffic to prevent possible accidents, can be enhanced? Which data protection aspects in such a concept are relevant and how should they be handled?

Connected Infrastructure

  • How can coordination problems, e.g. parking in the urban space, be solved on a wide scale? Which are the central challenges related to this? What sensor or digital solutions can solve these problems?
  • What further optimization and connectivity potentials can be identified to make urban mobility future-proof?

Sharing Community

  • What technology could be developed for the current structures to stimulate the sharing practices, and to study and analyze the needs of the existing network with the available resources?
  • Many individual actors within communities are nowadays organizing themselves, e.g. to benefit from sharing mobility offers for the way to work. Which digital solutions can strengthen these arrangements and spread these practices even more widely and efficiently?

Creativity

  • This track is open to all related ideas to the main topic! Perhaps you can think of ideas on how to encourage citizens to be more green and share mobility?
