What is your vision for the digital and sustainable world of tomorrow?
Digitalization based on a deeply and progressive decarbonization process must remain a sustainable technical support to develop all important activities for the future.
In last few years data and digital technologies have shown to be a crucial way in reach carbon neutrality. Smart and innovative technological solutions can help pave the way to net zero as well as strengthen resilience to climate-related natural hazards and improve organizational capacity to act. We strongly believe that digitalization and decarbonization have to go hand in hand to achieve a successful transition to a green economy.
What values are important when it comes to a digital and sustainable future?
Technological evolution needs to be inclusive and serve as a driver of prosperity and development not only in the global north but also in the global south, where the consequences of climate-induced catastrophes are already being felt. Tackling climate change requires pooling entrepreneurship and inventiveness to help tackle this immense task
We still have a long path ahead and for this challenge we want to particularly emphasize the following aspects in the African context: social development, sustainable environment and shared prosperity.
What potentials and skills can you bring to the table in order to shape a sustainable future together with the Digital Generation?
The most important thing is to build approaches and be able to provide actors with technologies that meet their expectations and empower them without locking them into systems of dependence and poverty.
