Boost Legal Innovation is an international competition, which is run by the global law firm Baker McKenzie. The Digital Generation is invited to come up with digital and sustainable innovation in cooperation with established companies and organizations.

July 12 – September 13, 2021: Qualification-Phase
You have time until September 13, 2021 11:59 pm CET to work on and submit your solutions, concepts and sketches via our online platform.
During this period, you may choose to work alone, in a team, or find partners/potential team members to work with through our platform. Find out more in our FAQ tab.
To support you effectively during the qualification phase we offer three different voluntary event formats:
- Interactive Design-Thinking-Workshops
- Team-Matching-Calls
- Q&A-Calls
Mid-September: Calling the finalists
By this date at the latest, Baker McKenzie and the respective use case partners will have decided which two participants/teams of each Use Case will go on to the elaboration phase of the Challenge.
All participants will be notified via email.
September 30 + October 01, 2021: Bootcamp
The best teams will be invited to the virtual bootcamp. This will be separated in two parts from September 30 to October 01.
Here you will have the chance to receive further input, collaborate with experts from Baker McKenzie, the use case partners and potentially external legal tech experts. Each team will receive an individual milestone plan and work assignment to further elaborate on the submitted concepts during the next phase.
December 09, 2021: Let´s Pitch!
After the finalist teams have had another two months to work on their solutions, they will present their final concepts at the (virtual) closing event at the beginning of December.
High-ranked representatives of partner companies, who are part of the panel of judges will be present, and the winners of the challenge will be announced. Further inspirational input and impulses will be provided, and concrete action measures will be determined.
