Currently, only 18 percent of German AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) companies have a BIM (Building Information Modeling) strategy and only 39 percent are working on one. To save resources and protect the environment, the implementation of BIM must be promoted and its potential recognized. The use of digital solutions in the construction industry increases benefits, reduces costs and promotes sustainability. Work together with Nemetschek to demonstrate the benefits of digital solutions in the construction life cycle and make them tangible.

The DEUTSCHLAND 4.0 Challenge is a project with actors from different areas. The focus is on cooperation with business, science and politics. For this purpose, several socially relevant topics are summarized under the main topic of DEUTSCHLAND 4.0, whereby solution approaches and innovations are worked out specifically for the individual use cases (representative of relevant topic areas of digitization). The Use Cases are provided by companies and organizations. The DEUTSCHLAND 4.0 project offers the opportunity to be conducted at regular intervals.
The DEUTSCHLAND 4.0 Challenge is a nationwide innovation competition by the startup ekipa in cooperation with Dorothee Bär (MdB and Government Commissioner for Digitization) about digitization in Germany. Students, researchers, young professionals, and founders are called upon to develop new innovative approaches and solutions in different subject areas and use cases in order to add new social value to digitization.
