✅ 23.09.2019 – 18.11.2019: Qualification Phase
From this day on you have the opportunity to participate in the 5G for Social Impact Challenge via our platform.
You can start as a lone fighter, create your own team and work with colleagues or join an already existing team. Whether alone or in a team, you have time to develop and submit your solution approach via our platform until 11:59 pm on the 18.11.2019.
✅ 19.11.2019 - 22.11.2019: Voting Phase
Every platform user can view the developed ideas on the platform and vote for their favorites until the 22nd of November 10:00am. Thus, only those teams qualify for the final that either arrive best at the crowd or are voted directly into the final by Samsung. The 3 teams with the most votes move into the elaboration phase alongside the 7 teams selected by Samsung
Note: If you don’t want to participate in the voting phase and rely on Samsung’s selection, just send us a quick mail and your project and your idea won’t be displayed in the voting.
✅ 22.11.2019: Calling the finalists
Latest at this date, Samsung will decide which participants will get the chance to take part in the final round of this challenge alongside with the 3 teams who received the most votes. A maximum of 10 teams will be selected. All participants will be notified via email.
✅ 29.11.2019: Bootcamp of learning and growing your ideas
The qualified finalists will be invited by Samsung for a training course, the costs for travel and accommodation will be covered.
On this day, you will once again gain deeper insights into the topics 5G and the Social Development Goals as well as detailed feedback to your idea. By working together with Samsung and external experts for one day on your idea, you will lay the foundations for the further course of the elaboration phase.
✅ 30.11.2019 - 26.01.2020: Elaboration Phase
Following the training, you will, based on a concrete feedback and mission, develop your idea and business case to a more detailed solution or even a first prototype. You have time to develop and submit your solution via our platform until 11:59 pm on the 26.01.2020.
Over the entire period, you will always have the opportunity to get in touch with a mentor from Samsung, to get new input and to catch up on intermediate feedback.
✅ 31.01.2020: Let´s Pitch!
To conclude the Challenge, you will present your final solution in front of Samsung. In addition to a total of € 22.500 in prize money being shared among the best teams, the winners of the Challenge will also be given the opportunity to further develop their business case in the following Solve for Tomorrow - IMPACT-phase @ Samsung.
