Order-picking in a large-scale logistics center still produces avoidable errors — wrong items, wrong quantities, or items placed on the wrong roll container — due to limited feedback, low transparency, and a lack of real-time verification for workers. 

Why This Matters 

These errors cause rework, process delays, unnecessary costs, and impact store operations. Given the logistics center’s high volumes, even small error rates have material financial and operational consequences. 

Solution Space 

The objective is to explore solutions that increase accuracy and transparency during order picking, help workers detect mistakes early, and stabilize the process without slowing operations. 
Any concept that contributes to real-time clarity, confirmation or error prevention is relevant. 
Optional examples (non-exhaustive) may include smarter feedback mechanisms, data-driven verification, digital assistance or lightweight sensing — but the challenge remains technology-open

Process 

The participation process is structured to provide fast clarity and a fair evaluation for all applicants: 

  1. Submit your application answering key questions about your solution, its maturity and expected value contribution. 
  2. Evaluation & shortlisting based on problem fit, feasibility and expected impact. 
  3. Get-to-Know Session with the logistics team to explore use case alignment and requirements. 
  4. Proof of Concept (PoC) Building with a clearly defined scope in selected aisles to validate impact under real conditions. 
  5. Successful solutions will then be considered for scale-up phases.
