Deloitte’s Quantum Climate Challenge 2023
We invite you to explore quantum computing for materials research by tackling the challenge of simulating materials that filter carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and may help reach the 2°C goal.
Highlight for the finalists: Besides an attractive prize pool, the finalists will pitch their solution in front of an expert jury consisting of representatives from both, the quantum and the chemical industry. Juror affiliations include IBM, AWS, Intel, Evonik, Verband der Chemischen Industrie, BASF Chemovator, Boehringer Ingelheim and Quantistry.

26.01.2023: Q&A Deadline
Please submit your technical questions until January 26, 2023, at 23:59 (CEST) via deloitte-quantum@ekipa.de. Questions submitted will be answered in bulk and made available under the “Confidential Information” tab in a timely manner. Questions submitted later and questions related to the submission will also be answered later, without guarantee of a timely answer.
12.03.2023: Submission Deadline
The submission must be handed in via the challenge platform before March 12, 2023, 23:59 (CEST).
24.03.2023: Announcement of Finalists
The announcement of the TOP 5 finalists will take place on March 24, 2023, 23:59 (CEST). All participants will be informed via email.
19.04.2023: Final Pitch Event
The TOP 5 finalists are invited to present their solutions during a pitch event on April 19, 2023, in front our highly qualified expert jury who will announce the winners of the challenge at the event. The location of the pitch event will be announced with the announcement of finalist the latest. All finalists presenting are eligible for a cash prize.
